The identity of self acceptance

Updated: Feb 25

For all the short years I’ve lived, . These have been the best. . I know who I am. . I like who I am. . I respect and appreciate my body. . I have strong boundaries with others unapologetically. . I am deeply connected to the people I love and the life I live. . And it’s taken me 40 years. . So many people never, ever . Know who they are . Like who they are . Respect and appreciate their bodies . Know their worth . Or feel connected with others and/or their lives. . It hasn’t been easy. . It still isn’t easy. . I haven’t arrived. . But I know who I am . I like myself. . With deep gratitude. . And this is what a diagnosis of autism has gifted me. . Understanding and acceptance. . Purpose. . Self love.
